Running laps was always a "punishment" for me growing up as a competitive dancer. I had plenty of stamina but hated running so much. I never in my life wanted to start running for enjoyment lol. But when i had my son, i really struggled with wanting to get back in shape and having no equipment, no babysitters, no gym access, and no group classes i could afford in my rural town. My body was literally begging me to move. And one day i looked outside at my roundabout driveway and thought, "you have that. You're fortunate to have that. Use that." Once i started running, it was such a liberating feeling. Almost like taking my health back into my control despite allll the excuses i had been making to not do it. I didnt need anything but for myself to show up and do it. I'm pregnant again now and have taken a break due to some complications but i am so looking forward to getting back at it one day!

Hey! I know your Disney trip already happened & it’s super cool to see how these opportunities keep coming to you. So awesome! I also know that you can’t do everything, but wanted to put this out there - Disney recently changed its Disability Accessibility Service (DAS) to exclude anyone with a disability unless they have a developmental/intellectual disability. For so many Disney lovers that are disabled and require this service to safely access rides, this is a huge loss because it means that they can’t go to Disney and participate the same ways that they used to. I’ve heard from many disabled folks who have had to cancel their trips and Disney is refusing to refund them their tickets even though they won’t be able to access any rides and many of the other activities as well due to these changes. If you’re able to do some research and advocating on behalf of the disabled community, it would mean so much.

I'm a plus size girlie who loves running! I recommend going to a running store and at least get fitted so you know what features to look for, and then you can shop around for good but not super expensive shoes. There's different shapes and features you wouldn't think matter but they do

I did a mileage challenge one summer (500 miles in 3 months!) and it really helped to fully ignore how fast I'm going. Running slow is still running!

Hard agree with finding a well fitting sports bra and in-store fitted shoes, it’s a life saver. I love my Fabletics bras but the high support is a must, also love the Under Armour Infinity high support and the Brooks! I’m so excited for both of you to start this journey (and I can’t wait for the full video!)I truly have found my “me” time with running and I love it!
